Lesson 4. "I want you to care about me"

Dear Reader, Like you, I'm on a journey of listening to my heart more, focussing on what's truly important to me and my family, and letting go of the fluff and sticky crap that holds me down. A happy life, YES! That's what we're all hoping for.

It's simple to care about everyone else. As women we are good at that, but when it comes to our own care, well, very often there is something more pressing that wins our attention. But sometimes, we are reminded that there is something stirring.

Holidays or anniversary dates tend to magnify our emotions, reminding us of the things we’d rather forget but I ask you to sit with a cup of your favorite warm drink to truly open your heart and allow whatever awareness has been trying to get your attention because NOW you have a chance to connect with the greatness that truly lies within you. 

You've heard the gentle call.

Maybe the call has been getting louder? Or maybe you've been ignoring it for so long that it's become a glaringly obvious problem; your attitude, your marriage, your children, your health? Maybe you know that making one simple change, or a great big change will make the world a better place but you feel unworthy, or incapable... Well let me tell you.. you are here for a reason, and everything that has happened in your existence has brought you to where you are now. We are all being called to change something. 

We want to forget it, move past it and we can, that's a choice,  but if you want vibrancy and ambition while you LIVE, something is going to have to change. Your past 'is what it is',  but your future, ah, your future has room for everything to be different!

Sit for a minute and connect with you heart, (don't think about it... that's head, we need more heart). What would best serve you right now? If you are going to your head, thinking about every reason why this is a bad time, then move back in to your heart and feel that thing you need the most right now. A bath, to apologize (& stop that behavior), to journal what you're grateful for, say thanks to someone? What?
